The Last Will and Testament of Anthony Gibbons of the Township of Wellesley County of Waterloo and Province of Ontario
I, Anthony Gibbons considering the uncertainty of mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following. I give and bequeath all my property both real and personal to my Executors in trust to be disposed of in the following manner. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret Gibbons all my property both real and personal to have and to hold forever.
I do hereby appoint Patrick Ryan and Michael Gibbons, both of Wellesley Township and my beloved wife Margaret Executors of this my last will and testament.
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of March in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty three.

Note: The above is quoted directly from the will. I do not understand why the land holdings are not mentioned, as Margaret Gibbons distributed them in her will to her surviving family. Perhaps the title to the land was not yet cleared from the Canada
Company.
