John1 O'Callaghan; born 24 Jun 1814 in Crossmolina, County Mayo, Ireland; married Bridget Syron circa 1833; died 2 Oct 1902 in Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada, at age 88; buried 5 Oct 1902 in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada. John and Bridget are buried together in Section B, Row F. I have a picture of the gravestone. It states John died Oct. 2, 1902, age 89 years. However, the church record says he was 87. The obituary from the Ingersoll Chronicle on 03 October, 1902 stated the following: "In Ingersoll, on Thursday, Oct. 2nd, 1902, John O'Callaghan, aged 88 years, 3 months, 6 days. The funeral will leave his late residence, Thames Street, on Sunday, October 5th, at 10:15am and proceed to the Church of the Sacred Heart, and thence to the Roman Catholic Cemetery. "

Elizabeth2 O'Callaghan (John1); born 25 Oct 1843 in Lachine, Quebec, Canada; married John Gibbons, son of Patrick Gibbons and Bridget Burke, 8 Oct 1867 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada; Five years after the death of John Gibbons, she married Patrick Quigley, son of Edward Quigley and Ann Kelly, 9 Aug 1888 in St. Peter's Cathedral, London, Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada; died 14 Apr 1922 in Hamilton, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada, at age 78. Elizabeth was "laid out" in her home and then taken to Ingersoll, where she was buried in a family plot owned by the O'Callaghans. Her marker calls her "Bessie", apparently her family nickname. The cause of death was listed as ateriosclerosis secondary to myocarditis and the physician was F.S. Harper. The newspaper obituary states that she died on Friday, April 14th, in Hamilton, however, the death certificate states she died on the 13th; buried 17 Apr 1922 in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada. The funeral was held at St. Patrick's Church in Hamilton, but she was buried in Ingersoll. The stone states:

Catherine3 Sage (Ellen2O'Callaghan, John1); born 19 Jul 1866 in North Norwich Township, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada; married Henry Hanlon, son of James Hanlon and Anastasia Talbort, 23 Nov 1898 in Catholic Church, Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada; died 19 Jun 1940 in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada, at age 73. The tombstone transcription lists her birthdate as 1868, however, this may be a typographical error. It should say 1866.

This is a transcription of an obituary from the Ingersoll Tribune:

The death of Catherine Sage, dearly beloved wife of Henry Hanlon, occurred at the family residence, Lot 9, Concession 1, North Oxford Township shortly after nine o'clock on Wednesday morning, June 19th. Deceased who was in her 73rd year, was born in North Norwich Township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Redmond Sage, and had been a resident of North Oxford Township since her marriage. She had been in failing health for the past three years and was confined to her bed for about four months.

Mrs. Hanlon was highly esteemed in North Oxford Township and in the town of Ingersoll where she had many friends who will learn with sincere regret of her passing. She was a faithful member of the congregation of the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ingersoll, and when health permitted took a active part in the work of the church and the following church organizations of which she was a member, the Catholic Women's League, the Altar Society, and the League of the Sacred Heart and St. Anne's Mission Circle.

Surviving to mourn her passing besides her husband are two sons, James Hanlon and Patrick Hanlon, North Oxford; a daughter, Mary, (Mrs. Leo. Winterhalt), North Oxford; two grandchildren, Catherine Winterhalt and Patricia Hanlon; four sisters, Misses Ellen and Sarah Sage, Ingersoll, and Elizabeth and Agnes Sage, London; also three brothers, John Sage, Ingersoll and George Sage and James Sage, Detroit, Mich.

The funeral will be held from the family residence, Lot 9, Con. 1, North Oxford Township on Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ingersoll, where requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 o'clock. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery; buried 22 Jun 1940 in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada. Catherine and her husband Henry are buried together.

Cause of death was probably organic brain disorder.

The obituary read:

In Hamilton on Monday, March 31, 1969 Thomas J. Monogue aged 71 years. Beloved husband of Catherine Cassin, 775 Concession St., dear father of Mrs. Leonard Liss (Mary), Mrs. Walter Durka (Catherine), Mrs. Paul Daly (Madeline) all of Hamilton, Patrick Monogue, Orange, Texas, and Mrs. John Alpaugh (Betty), Ancaster. Brother of Agnes and Madeline Monogue, Mrs. Dorothy Peters, Mrs. Walter Young, all of Hamilton, also surviving are 19 grandchildren. Mr. Monogue was a letter carrier in Hamilton for 48 years, retiring in 1963. Funeral on Wednesday morning at 9:30am from the P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 7 East Ave. South to Sacred Heart Church for Requiem Mass at 10 am. Recitation of the Rosary Tuesday evening at 8:30 pm; Buried Apr 1969 in Holy Sepluchre Cemetary, Hamilton, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada, Section 21, Row 27. Lot 41 and 42, Grave 41.
