Death*18 April 1943 Obituary stated: "Joseph T. Galbraith, 73, of Gettysurg, a battlefield guide here for a number of years, died Sunday at 4:30 pm at a Harrisburg hospital. He was born in Cumberland county, a son of the late John H. and Agnes E. Carbaugh Galbraith and was a farmer most of his life. He lived in Adams county for 40 years.
The wife of the deceased, the former Anna r. Sharrah died in 1938.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. T. Roy Enoch, Gettysburg, Lloyd C. Galbraith, Gettysburg; Mrs. Mary G. Trout, Gettysburg; Mrs. Dan Sturm, Chicago;, Miss Margaret, at home; Harold T., Greensburg;, mrs. Harold Cromwell, Gettysburg and Mrs. Eugene Wilson, Lancaste, 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Three brothers and a sister also survive. They are Andrew J. Galbraith, Carlisle, Clayton Galbraith, Dixon; Mrs. Edwin Wood, Bowmansdale; and Warren Galbraith, Cumberland County.
Funeral from Benders funeral home Wednesday at 2pm with Dr. Harvery D. Hoover and the Rev. Eliza Myers officiating. Internment in Evergreen cemetery."1
