The 1861 deed states that: John Galbraith, Henry's grandfather, received 124 acres of land by patent in Butler Township which was later willed to John's son, William (Henry's father). According to this deed, William died intestate and the land descended to his widow, Sarah M. Galbreath, and his children, John B. Galbreath, Eliza Galbreath, Hugh Kiing (husband of the late Mary J. Galbreath), Sarah A. Galbreath, and Rosanna Galbreath. Henry also had one sixth and by this deed is buying all of the land from his sibllilngs for $3293.75.
