10 July 1947, Itawamba County Times, Itawamba County, Mississippi, United States, Services were held Sunday afternoon at Walton Church for T.W. Franks, retired farmer of the Mantachie community, with the Rev. Mr. Ivey and the Rev. Dave Raper officiating. Burial was in the Walton Cemetery with Pegues in charge. Mr. Franks, who was 73, died at his home Saturday of a heart attack. He leaves his wife and several children. |

August 1946, Itawamba County Times, Itawamba County, Mississippi, United States, Funeral services for S.M. Franks of Fulton were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the Walton's Cemetery with Rev. I.K. Boyett, pastor of the Fawn Grove Freewill Baptist Church in charge. Mr. Franks was 66 years of age. Although Mr. Franks had been in failing health for some time, he was not in serious condition until about an hour before his death. He death which came at 9 am Sunday morning was attributed to heart trouble. A farmer throughout his active years, the deceased brought his family to Fulton about seven years ago. Although not a member of any denomination, Mr. Franks preferred the Freewill Baptist beliefs, and held close to the tenents of his faith. He is survived by his wife, 4 sons, Jack, Elvin, Alvin and Charles B., and two daughters, Mrs. Lola Mae Mears and Miss Lorene Franks all of Fulton. Hawkins and Son funeral directors, were in charge of the arrangements. |
