Death*6 November 1863 Canada, An old newspaper article stated, "Like other Newfoundland communities whose men had to look to the sea for a living, tragedy was common. One example of that is the loss of a fishing boat from Placentia on November 6th, 1863, with the loss of five men from Placentia including a Patrick Walsh of Gt. John's".
