This site describes the paternal ancestors of Patricia Ann Monogue Balkcom who came to Canada from Ireland in the early 1820's. One line came to southeastern Ontario and the other line initially settled in Valcartier, Quebec but about 1912 they also came to Ontario. The Carter, Winter and Light branches are traced to the south coast of England.
