Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop-light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church (Brant Street at Blairholm), Burlington on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Burlington. His death came as a shock to the family circle and his friends as his illness was only of short duration. He was taken suddenly ill Saturday night, and a physician was called. At that time, however, his condition was not recognized as particularly dangerous, and it was expected he would recover in a short time. Later, however, he took a turn for the worse and his death ensued, about 11 o'clock Sunday morning. Deceased was born in Ingersoll and for many years had been employed at the Noxon Works. He worked till noon on Saturday. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and was well known to the people of Ingersoll. Deceased was unmarried and is survived by one brother, Patrick Quigley of London, and one sister, Miss Quigley of Ingersoll." |
