Date of birth is based on the age of 70 listed on his tombstone. However, the tombstone was erected about 10 years later by his son-in-law so the accuracy of his age is not positive.

Migration*between 1859 and 1860 Lebanon, Wisconsin, United States, Moved from Valcartier, Quebec to Wisconsin. It is interesting that Michael is found in the 1860 census for Wisconsin and in the 1861 Census for Valcartier. The Wisconsin census was taken in July and Michael is listed with his wife and two children but the Valcartier lists him as living with his parents, married and does not list his wife or children. However, his sisters are also listed as married and also living in this house even though their husbands are not listed. It is possible that the census taker listed them as the children of Edward even though they were not physically living there. Some Valcartier researchers believe that the 1861 census was actually taken a year earlier.

Birth*8 November 1848 Valcartier, Quebec, Canada
Baptism19 November 1848 Valcartier, Quebec, Canada, The godfather was his uncle Thomas O'Neil and aunt Margaret O'Neill. One source says Margaret's name was Hogan but I do not think this is correct as Thomas married Bridget Martin in 1850 and Margaret Hogan was alive and living with her parents in 1851. I believe that the Margaret O'Neill is Thomas' sister, not his wife. This would still make her Thomas Cassin's aunt., Witness=Thomas O'Neill
