Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, The obituary in the newspaper, the Hamilton Spectator of November 18th states:
Died- Cassin, in this city on Monday, November 17, 1919, Mary Bridget, youngest daughter of Patrick and Annie Cassin, aged 18 years. Funeral from the parents' residence 112 Alpine Avenue, Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. to St. Patrick's Church. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Another edition states: Miss Mary Cassin, daughter of Patrick and Mrs. Cassin, 112 Alpine avenue, passed away this morning at ther parents' residence, aged 18 years. Deceased had resided in this city for the last eight years. Since coming here she had been a member of St. Patrick's church. Besides her parents, three brothers, Thomas, Michael and William, survive; also a sister Kathleen, at home. The funeral will take place on Wednesday morning, at 8:30, from the family residence to St. Patrick's church, thence to Holy Sepluchre cemetery for interment.

The newspaper on November 19th stated:
The funeral of Miss Mary Cassin took place this morning at 8:30 from her parents' residence, 112 Alpine avenue to St. Patrick's Church where Father McGoey chanted a requiem mass, thence to Holy Sepulcher cemetery, where Father Kirby officiated. There were many spiritual and floral offerings, which testified to the esteem in which the deceased was held. The pall bearers were: J. and M. Cassin, T. Monogue, Ed Duffy and T. Udy.

It also states she was born in Quebec. Bridget died of meningitis (probably brain injury from sledding accident). Last address was 112 Alpine Ave. , Hamilton. Her cemetery plot is in Section L, Lot 207. She is buried in the same plot as her mother. The funeral mass was from St. Patrick's Church.

St. Gabriel's Catholic Cemetery, Valcartier, Quebec County, Quebec, Canada, Record states that Michael Cassin was the husband of Mary Cassin of Valcartier and that he was 70 years old. Witnesses to the internment were Nicolas Vandal and Charles Martel. Interestingly, Michael has a gravestone erected in the St. Gabriel's Cemetery that appears to have been erected by his son-in-law, William Neilson. However, the church records of St. Catherine's in Portneuf County indicate his burial there. Anyway, this is what the gravestone states:

The Wisconsin census was taken in July and Michael is listed with his wife and two children but the Valcartier lists him as living with his parents, married and does not list his wife or children. However, his sisters are also listed as married and also living in this house even though their husbands are not listed. It is possible that the census taker listed them as the children of Edward even though they were not physically living there. Some Valcartier researchers believe that the 1861 census was actually taken a year earlier.

Patrick Cassin is shown on Lot No. 291, value $550.00, Total $71.50, yearly $5.96. Eric Corrigan remembers that there used to be a hill in front of the lot and it was referred to as Paddy Cassin's hill by the older people of the area. Other Cassins living Northeast of this, on lots 854 - 858. Eric was born on Lot #860 which his grandfather Michael Corrigan bought from a McNickel and also lot 859 from the heirs of Denis Cassin in 1872.
