Last Edited Jan 4, 2007

Birth*between 1783 and 1793 Ireland, Tombstone information stating he was 86 years old when he died suggests he was born about 1783, but 1851 census data suggests it would be 1793.
Marriage*11 April 1824 Quebec, Canada, The family tells the story of the beautiful rich young girl, Isabella Bonnali who lived in Ireland, and of Lawrence Corrigan, a coachman for her family, who had to elope and come to Canada because their parents were strongly opposed to their marriage. Isabella used to watch Lawrence as he waited for those who wished to travel and would throw his overcoat over the horse and she thought that a man that kind to animals would make a wonderful husband.
"Lawrence Corrigan of the Parish of Quebec, bachelor, & Isabella Bonnalie of the same parish, spinster, were, by license from His Excellency the Honourable Sir Francis N. Burton, were joined in the Holy Bonds of Matrimony on the fourth day of November one thousand eight hundred & twenty four, by me, James Hastings, Minr.

Her brother, James, states in the 1900 census that he came in 1867. I believe that Margaret Brown Corrigan, their mother, and also their sister, Margaret, all probably came with Edward and James in that year.
