The children were Jefferson E. T. Matthews and Josephine I.? V. Matthews. [I found no record of guardianship of the other children but at some point the mother Telitha had guardianship. Note double initials after first names, as with James O. R. Mathews. Possibly James O. R. Mathews was a brother of the two children].
Also named as responsible for the bond were Ewell Webb and Isaac Dennis.2

Telitha, having been appointed guardian in around 1853, sued as petitioner for Josephine and the other minor orphan children of James, alleging that proper accounting had not been made for funds due to the children, that there was a breach of the conditions of the guardianship bond, and naming the amount believed to be due.
The Mathews children were named:

(Heir) Estate10 March 1857(Deceased) James Mathews; Superior Court, Crawford County, Georgia, USA; Estate papers of James Mathews include an action brought by his widow Talitha Mathews against James O R Mathews, administrator of the estate and former guardian of Josephine J V Mathews, now Josephine J V Nichols, wife of Harrison Nichols. Telitha, having been appointed guardian in around 1853, sued as petitioner for Josephine and the other minor orphan children of James, alleging that proper accounting had not been made for funds due to the children, that there was a breach of the conditions of the guardianship bond, and naming the amount believed to be due.
The Mathews children were named:
Josephine J. V. Mathews (now Nichols), Lydia Ann, Tabitha, James M., and E. J.4
