John Balkcum sold land to Hester Balkcum for $1070. Hester within two years gave this land to her daughter Nancy Balkcum and grandson James Lucien Balkcum, a toddler, who was son of William L Robinson and Hester's daughter Mariah. It's not clear if this is the land Hester originally received on the death of her husband John Balkcom in 1803, and if so how grandson John Balkcum came into possession.
