Journal*Abraham Baldwin, a graduate of Yale College in 1772, was author of the charter for the University of Georgia, President 1786-1801, was a delegate to the Consitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787, a signer of the Constitution, and served in the U.S. Senate from 1799 to his death in Washington, D.C. in 1807.2
