These probably refer to the same land grant but would need originals to confirm.11,12 
Military* 9 February 1779 South Carolina, USA, Revolutionary War services: cf. #734-908 A725 --quote: Military service records from the National Archives, Washington, DC of Continental Organizations raised from more than one state, indicate that Ichabod enlisted in the 3rd SC Regiment of Continentals, commanded by Col. William Thomson on Feb 9, 1779 as a private. Company pay rolls indicate that he served until Nov 1, 1779 in this regiment.13 
Comment* 3 May 1785 Edgecombe County, North Carolina, USA, Deed book for Edgecombe County (Book 4, page 227) mentions land sold adjacent to land of Ichabod Balcom.6
