Note Although the age given in the 1921 Census for John Bishop does not match the birthdate for John Joseph Bishop, I believe they are the same person - son of Edward Bishop and Bridget Peddle. Married by Rev. John J. St. John. Witnesses were John Bishop and Mary McDonald. (I am assuming that John Bishop was Mary's brother, but have no confirmation of this). The church record states (translated from Latin): 31 January 1895 by John J. St. John (priest) married Tobias McGrath, age 52, widower, and Mary Ann Bishop Gushue, 42, widow of William George Gushue, daughter of Edward Bishop.
