Passed peacefully away on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St John’s in the presence of her loving family, Mary Olive St. Croix of Portugal Cove South, age 89 years. Predeceased by her husband Thomas, sons: Hugh and Joseph, son-in-law Michael Myrick, daughter-in-law Sheila St. Croix and great-granddaughter Victoria Myrick. Leaving to mourn their sad loss four sons: Frank (Ingrid), Ajax, Ont., Thomas, Carbonear, Roger, St. John’s, Reginald (Georgina), Edmonton, Alta. Three daughters: Kay Myrick, Trepassey, Shirley Bradbury (Robert), Mount Pearl, NL and Agnes Boye Doe (Alex), Amherst, Ohio, USA. Daughter-in-law Diane St. Croix, St. John’s, NL. Twenty-four grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, one brother Patrick Ward, Goulds, NL, brother-in-law Francis Molloy, Trepassey, sister-in-law Viola St. Croix, St. John’s; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a large number of other relatives and friends. Also Gerald and Jean Fahey, Sharon Walsh, other staff and residents of Fahey’s Personal Care Home, Fermeuse. Resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Trepassey on Monday April 6 from 1-2 p.m. for (family only). Visitation on Monday, April 6 from 2-9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 7 from 12 noon-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 8 at 11 a.m. from Holy Redeemer Church, Trepassey. ST. CROIX, Alice (nee Watson) - Entered into eternal rest on December 26, 2010, Alice St. Croix, of St. Vincent's, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her husband Clifford, parents Bernard and Mary A. Watson, son Ed and four other infant children, granddaughter Janine White, sisters Rose Stamp and Marion Ryan, brothers: Henry, Alex and Hilary, daughter-in-law Mary St. Croix and son-in-law Clayton Lewis. Leaving to mourn sons and daughters: Ben, Dan (Jose), Jean (John St. Croix), Irene (Arno Pennell), Marilyn (Tom Molloy), Karen (Bert White), Anna (Gerard Pennell), Bren (Daphne), Elaine (Gerard Ryan), Darrell (Valerie), Keith (Mavis), sisters Bride Martin and Pauline Fleming, sisters-in-law: Kay Watson, Peg Halleran, Carmel Howard and Jeanette Murphy, 25 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a large and loving circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Tom McGarry, Barb O'Driscoll (lab technician), her daughter-in-law, Jose, who provided her with excellent care, Paramedics David Mandville and Nicole Ryan of Gibbons' Ambulance Service and her many special friends, including Gus Stamp. Obituary30 April 1956 Hamilton Spectator Newspaper, Hamilton, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada; "Walter Wellington Watts, of 18 Centre Drive, Spring Valley Survey, Ancaster, died suddenly on Saturday. Born at Hagersville, 54 years ago, he had lived in Hamilton until moving to Ancaster in 1946. Mr. Watts spent four and a half years overseas with the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals in the Second World War. He was an employee of the Bell Telephone Company and a member of the Bell Pioneer Club. Surviving besides his wife, the former Maude Paul, are one daughter, Annette, at home; one brother, George, of Aldershot; and a sister, Mrs. Muriel Whitelaw of Ancaster. Funeral services will be held from the the Cattel Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, at 2pm, Tuesday with burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens."1
