Note | One researcher states that Edward Bishop & Bridget Peddle lived in St. Joseph's, Salmonier. There is evidence that some of their children did live in Salmonier. I have listed Sarah Bishop (who married Ben St. Croix) as their daughter - no proof that these are her parents yet. However, on Sarah's death registration it states that she was born in Point La Haye, so that brings into question the parentage if they lived in Salmonier. The same researcher states that the nephew of Edward Bishop, also named Edward Bishop (and married to Margaret Mandeville) was the family who lived in Point La Haye.3 | |
Birth | circa 1810 | St. Joseph's, Salmonier, Placentia & St. Mary's District, Newfoundland, Canada; Age given in the death registation would indicate he was born about 1802, however, his parents did not marry until 1807, so I suspect he was born about 1810. Place of birth is based on information given in the death registration.1,4 |
