Census1861 Concession 12, Wellesley Township, Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada; The agricultural census evaluation of the farm:

20 lots under cultivation, 20 under crops
30 under wood
Cash value of farm $400.00
Cash value of family, independent of machinery $15.00

Note from Alex Pryor: I think the discrepancies in Anthony's acreage totals are related to the complicated terms of the grant/purchase agreement wit the Canada Company. Anthony, the "kid brother" was not as far along developing his farm as Michael. He had been working for Michael for some time before starting out on his own. Likely the entire work force of both farms worked together on both properties, a practice which lasted to varying degrees in Ontario until after World War II.7
