Birthcirca 1816 County Mayo, Connacht Province, Ireland; This birthdate is based on the age of death of 63 on the tombstone. However, the various Census dates put his birthdate at: 1851 Census - age 30 (1821), 1861 - age 30 (1831), 1871 - age 50 (1821), 1881 - age 65 (1816).2

20 lots under cultivation, 20 under crops
30 under wood
Cash value of farm $400.00
Cash value of family, independent of machinery $15.00

Note from Alex Pryor: I think the discrepancies in Anthony's acreage totals are related to the complicated terms of the grant/purchase agreement wit the Canada Company. Anthony, the "kid brother" was not as far along developing his farm as Michael. He had been working for Michael for some time before starting out on his own. Likely the entire work force of both farms worked together on both properties, a practice which lasted to varying degrees in Ontario until after World War II.5
