Obituary26 July 1958 Hamilton Spectator, Hamilton, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada; "Davern - At St. Joseph's Hospital, on Friday, July 25, 1958, Mary Byrne, widow of Michael Davern of 135 Sherman Ave North, in her 74th year, beloved mother of John and William, Mrs. Edward Bernier and Miss Veronica at home, and also dear sister of Mrs. William Manion of Detroit, Michigan. Remains will rest at her residence from Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Funeral Monday morning at 8:30 to St. Ann's Church for Requiem High Mass at 9 o'clock. Interment in Holy Sepluchre Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary Sunday evening by the Catholic Women's League and Altar Society at 8:15, and Knights of Columbus".8
