  • Mary Minogue+ (10 Feb 1867 - bt 1907 - 1911); I don't have documentation that Patrick Manogue and Mary Dunphy are the parents of the Mary Manogue who married Patrick Bryan. However, all of Mary and Patrick's children were born in Bridget's Well where Patrick and Mary Dunphy had their family and it appears they were the only Manogue family there. Also, many of the baptismal sponsors for Mary and Patrick Bryan's children appear to be siblings of Mary's. Also, in the 1901 Census, Ellen Manogue, "sister-in-law" is living with Patrick and Mary. Also living with them is Bridget Dumphy (sic), aunt by marriage to Patrick Bryan, so I believe that Bridget Dunphy is the sister of his mother-in-law, Mary Dunphy.6,7

  • John Minogue3 (c Jan 1848 - c 1848)
  • Patrick Minogue+ (c Jan 1848 - ); It appears that Thomas Minogue and Catherine Phelan are the parents of Patrick as in his marriage record it states he is from Ballyfrunk and also the witness to the marriage was John Minogue, also of Ballyfrunk, so I believe these two were brothers who were both baptized in Ballyfrunk.3
  • John Minogue+ (c Oct 1849 - ); I have no proof that the John Minogue who married Johanna Walsh was the son of Thomas Minogue and Catherine Phelan. However, the date of birth of the John, born to Thomas and Catherine, would be about correct for a man marrying Johanna in 1881. Also, John and Johanna named their first 2 children, Catherine and Thomas, who possible were the names of John's parent (John - born in 1849). Also, in John and Johanna's marriage record it states that the residence was Ballyhendricken, which could have been the home of Johanna. Ballyhendricken is only 4 km from Ballyfrunk. Also, the baptismal sponsor for one of John & Johanna's children was a James Minogue, who was possibly the brother of John.4

Occupation In the cemetery record, Thomas is stated to have been a tailor and carpenter.17
Occupation Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; According to Patrick Monogue, his grandfather Thomas also worked for the Liquor Control Board.
Anecdote This information was gathered from Patrick Monogue, grandson of Thomas Henry Monogue.

Thomas Henry was a conservative (in the political sense) ans was well-known by the people in government. Pat thinks that is how his father Thomas John got a job at the post office at the young age of 19. Thomas Henry was a tailor and he worked at a shop on James Street. Later, he owned a small tailor shop on Concession Street. This shop he later turned into "Tom Monogue's Ice Cream Parlour". Marlene Pryor has a picture of the sign for the shop. Although, Patrick does not remember his grandfather having an ice cream store, he does remember him bringing big tins of ice cream to the picnics they would have at Concession Park. Agnes, Thomas's daughter was also a seamstress but she worked for a big tailor outfit on King Street. When Thomas Henry got older he sold the shop and went to work for the Liquor Control Board store at Barton and Ottawa. His health deteriorated and he became confused probably from atherosclerosis and he came to live with Pat's family on Huron Street for a while because grandma couldn't take care of him by herself. He eventually went back to live with grandma and his daughters on Kensington Street. He stayed in the upstairs bedroom and he used to say he heard a baby crying (which would have been Marlene, Dorothy's daughter) but they just told him he was imagining things because they didn't want to explain that Dorothy had a baby. He died in the upstairs bedroom and on the same day "Aunt Lizzie" (Gibbons Armstrong) also died. So Grandma lost both her husband and sister on the same day.; Principal=Mary Ann Gibbons
