Birthcirca November 1844 County Tipperary, Munster Province, Ireland; There is a baptismal record for a Margaret Quigley, daughter of Edward Quigley and Anne Kelly. I am suggesting that this is the same child as Mary or Mariah as she was listed in some records. There is a Patrick Quigley, born in the same parish to Ann and Edward Quigley in 1840, so it is possible this is the correct family and it appears that Margaret was a twin to a Sarah and there is a child later named Sarah in Ontario, so it is possible that this Sarah died young.1,2
Baptism2 December 1844 Cloughjordan, County Tipperary, Munster Province, Ireland; Baptismal record states: Dec. 2, 1844: Margaret & Sarah of Edwd Quigley and Anne Kelly. (There appears to be a townland written but it is not readable to me).

Marriage22 January 1844 Littlehampton, South East England, England; Registration states that James Richardson, of full age, bachelor, sailor, residing in Littlehampton, son of James Richardson, mariner, married Sarah Carter, of full age, widow, residing in Littlehampton, daughter of James Winter, labourer. They were married in the parish church by John Atkins, Vicar on 22 Jan., 1844 following the published banns. The witnesses were Jacob and Harriet Richardson. It appears from census and IGI records, that Harriet was James' sister-in-law, who was married to James' younger brother, Daniel. Jacob may have been another brother or possibly another relative, since he was 10 years younger than James. The marriage was registered in the district of Worthing.; Principal=Sarah Winter5

Research Note A fellow researcher sent me this note: The Richardson men mentioned Jacob, James and Daniel are all brothers even though Jacob was born 16 years before Daniel. There is a large gap between Jacob and the next son, their father James Richardson was in the Royal Navy and away for several years which I believe accounts for the large gap. James Richardson senior did have some of his pay sent to his wife whilst he was on board to assist her. Jacob is a witness to several of the Richardson events. James Richardson husband to Sarah was still alive in 1881 as he was on the vessel Swift, however after that I have lost track of him.
