Martin was the informant. Burial is to be on the 27th of August in Cathedral Cemetery. Medical Certificate states that she died of Chronic Endocarditis and Mitral Valve with dilation of the heart of 6 months duration. Obituary25 August 1923 The Scranton Republican, Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States; "Mary Syron, aged 14 years, died Thursday night in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Syron, 113 North Fillmore Avenue following a long illness. The girl was a student at St. Patrick's High School and her death came as a sad blow to her classmates and friends throughout the city. Besides her parents she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Thomas, Martin Jr. , Anna and Thomas (should be Marguerite). The funeral will take place Monday morning with a high mass of requiem at 9:30 o'clock in St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery."2
