The eleventh of March one thousand eight hundred and seventy five, given the dispensation accorded by Monseigneur Elezéar Alexander Taschereau, Archbishop of Quebec, dated the tenth of this month, having the effect of lifting the defense of the Church to prevent the marriage contact, between Henry Hicks, Esquire, Superintendent of workers and Protestant, widower of Mary Ann Rolph, of the Parish of Valcartier on the one part; and Mary Malvina Mecteau, residing in this Parish of Quebec, daughter of age of the late Paul Mecteau, carpenter, and the late Louise Gagné, on the other part; given also the dispensation because of the prohibitive time of all publication, accorded by the said Lord Bishop , having discovered no other impediment to the marriage, We, the undersigned Priest, Vicar of this parish, have received their mutual consent of marriage in the presence of Charles Cinq-Mars and of Cyprien Labreque, esquire, notaries, friends of the groom who have signed with us.
