On this nineteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty one.

            Before me Cyrille Renaud, Notary, residing at Loretteville, undersigned personally appeared.

            Mary Ann Hornby, wife of Patrick Cassin residing at Loretteville, who being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding hath requested me to said notary to write down and received in due for of law her last will and testament which she has declared in manner and form following that is to say.

  1. I desire that all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses be paid as soon as possible after my death by my testamentary executrix herein after named.
  2.  I give and bequeath unto my beloved husband, Patrick Cassin, all my moveable and immoveable properties whatsoever wherever the same may be found and to whatever the same shall amount hereby constituting my said husband my universal legatee and the executor of this last will and testament, and I revoke all will I may have heretofore made and I declared the present to be my only true last will and testament.

     DONE AND PASSED at Loretteville under nortarial number eight thousand seven hundred and seventy five.  After reading of the said will to the testator by the notary in presence of Jules Falardeau and Joseph Chartre both merchants, Loretteville, the testatrix in presence of the notary and witnesses and the notary and witnesses have signed in the presence of the testatrix and in the presence of each others.

Notes by Patricia Balkcom:   Patrick Cassin was my 1st cousin, three times removed.  He and Mary Ann married later in life and did not have any children.  She died 22 August 1928, at the age of 75, seven years after writing this will.  Patrick died in 1924.
