Obituary | August 2008 | Clem Joseph St. Croix March 21, 1965 - August 27, 2008. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Clem St. Croix on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at his home in Yellowknife. Clem was a devoted father, brother and friend. His passion for life and sense of humor enriched the lives of all who knew him. Clem was raised in St. Vincent's, St. Mary's Bay, Newfoundland. He went to Yellowknife in 1983 and joined the Yellowknife Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. After becoming a fulltime firefighter in 1987, he moved through the ranks to Lieutenant and later became Deputy Fire Chief. Illness forced Clem to retire from his successful career in the YK Fire Department. He was a respected and valued public servant to the citizens of Yellowknife for over 20 years. Clem is survived by his daughters Aleta and Kadee, their mother Jacinthe, special friend Suzanne, sister Rose (Bob), brother Joe, brother-in-law Lorne, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Joan and parents Joseph and Geraldine. A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 2:30 pm at Adlair Aviation hangar in Yellowknife. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.1 |
