Predeceased by her husband Joseph Stapleton (1997). Leaving to mourn daughter Maureen (Raymond Sungaila); Sons: Derek (Anne Squires), Patrick, and Timothy; granddaughters: Amy and Lisa. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Rosemary (Crawley), Patricia (O’Brien), Jeannette (Mauphin); brother in law Terry; brother Michael Vail. The Family would like to extend a sincere thank you and appreciation to the management and staff of The Chancellor Park Nursing Home for the love and care shown to Anna over the past 3 years. Cremation has taken place. Committal Service to be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Rd in Mt. He was the master of the brigantine "Frank" out of Halifax for several years in the late 1860s, running from Halifax down to the West Indies. The accompanying painting is in the National Gallery in Ottawa, and the artist was John O'Brien, well known for his nautical scenes. From the Halifax Citizen: "One of the quickest passages ever made by a Halifax vessel, has just been made by the brig Frank, Capt. Veal, owned by the firm of T. C. Kinnear & Co. She arrived here this morning from Barbados, with a full cargo of sugar, having completed the round trip, including the time occupied in discharging her outward cargo, and loading with her return freight, in the short space of thirty-four days."3,4 |
