Address California, United States; According to Marge Marshall, his sister-in-law, he moved to California with his wife. Upon her death, their daughter, Patricia, was raised by his wife's parents. Patricia worked in the film industry.
Military James's father died in February, 1932 and the obituary stated that James was in the "U.S.A. aerial forces" at the time. This would imply that he was in the Air Force or the Army Air Force in 1932. Family stories state that he possibly died while fighting with the American Army while in the Panama Canal zone. There was also talk that he fought with General Clare Schenault in China, prior to WW2 as part of the "flying tigers". However, it is not known at this time if either of these stories carried any validily.2,3

Research Note24 August 2022 Had written to St. Louis National Personnel Records for the military. Records could not be found for James Walsh. They may have been destroyed by fire. Today, I sent email to Kansas City Archives to see if they had an Alien Registration Card for him.

Emigration Placentia was populated in a large part by Irish immigrants, brought out by a Pearce Sweetman who was presumably a wealthy Irish trader who came from Fiddown, County Kilkenny. Sweetman owned a large estate known as Blenheim House and he built a large house in Placentia by the same name. John Walsh's gravestone says he came from Fiddown also.1
Birth1791 Fiddown Civil Parish, County Kilkenny, Leinster Province, Ireland; Not sure this is Patrick's grandfather.1
